| Sinbon to produce Saphion Lithium-ion batteries |
NEW YORK—Sinbon Electronics will design and assemble at its Taiwan facilities the Saphion Lithium-ion batteries developed by Valence Technology Inc., Austin, Texas, under a new collaboration agreement.
Valence has developed a high-energy density, environmentally friendly Lithium-ion battery technology based on phosphates for use in portable and mobile electronic devices.
“Sinbon has proven itself to be a valuable strategic partner with expertise in the design of customized battery packs,” said Joe Lamoreux, vice president of small-format energy solutions for Valence.
“This relationship will enable us to reach a greater distribution network of global customers seeking superior quality battery technology in various, highly specialized formats.”
